The committee nominates the best people available to serve as directors. It tries to find a diverse roster of nominees to represent the association's customer base, such as those who hold different types of loans, live in different areas of the association or run different types of agricultural, forest products or fishing businesses. In selecting nominees, the committee also considers the length of service of the present board and of individual members.

The election of a director is an expression of stockholder confidence in each individual's ability to oversee that the association's business is sound and in the best interest of our members/borrowers.
